Steve Zimmer is the National Property Practice Leader for Wells Fargo Insurance and is based in Chicago, Illinois.

As the Practice Leader, Steve works with Wells Fargo Insurance offices across the United States, along with national and regional insurance carriers, to assist field offices with challenging property placements, resolving claim and coverage issues, as well as negotiating the best terms, conditions, and pricing for customers. Steve has extensive experience creating program designs and business strategies for customers that reduce financial volatility, lower costs, promote growth, and facilitate the achievement of business objectives.

Steve’s career spans almost 22 years, entirely in property brokerage, service, and management. He comes to Wells Fargo Insurance from Marsh, where he served as Senior Vice President, and National Brokerage Property Placement Leader in the Central Zone. In this role, Steve led a team of brokers and was actively involved in the sales, marketing, and retention of customers. Prior to joining Marsh, Steve was Vice President in Aon’s Global Property Practice located both in Chicago and New York.

His industry experience is broad and wide-ranging, but includes property placement and associated service for many Fortune 1000 customers in varying segments including: real estate, retail, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, manufacturing, and public entities.

Steve holds a bachelors’ degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Steve, his wife, and two young children live in the city of Chicago.
